Your Guide to the must have Korean skincare products

I have become, quite literally, OBSESSED, with skincare! And my latest obsession (more specifically), is Korean Skincare. Im sure we have all heard about the incredible effects of Korean skincare products. From the anti ageing properties to hyperpigmentation and acne, Korean Skincare products are said to be the best at helping with all of these skin concerns. I decided to delve deep into all things KS and try to find products that also “worked wonders” for me and my skin concerns /type.

Lets start with my favourite product at the moment – Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence

When I tell you that this product is transformative, you must believe me! This unassuming bottle is packed with 96% snail mucin which is proven to improve skin tone and texture. It is so super hydrating and gives my skin an instant glow, glass skin appearance. Iv been using this for about a year now, it has helped tremendously in healing and protecting my skin barrier. I was so nervous to try this at first (as I am with all new products), as I have really sensitive skin and I break out easily with the “wrong” product. I had no issues with sensitivity/breakouts etc, in fact just the opposite. Snail mucin also has amazing anti-ageing benefits (bonus:)), so this is a hell yes product for me. Only costs about £16 on Amazon (and lasts a long time).

You may think this is the same as the serum (I did at first), but this cream not only has the (benefits of) snail mucin (94%) but it also has hyaluronic acid, which as we all know, is a must to lock in that moisture and keep skin hydrated and healthy. Id say that if you need to choose one, id definitely go for the serum, but if you can get both of these, you won’t regret it. The cream retails for about £15 on Amazon.

A definite “must have” Korean Skincare Product – Torriden Dive In Serum

I used to think that all Hyaluronic acid was created equal – but now I know better! Low molecular Hyaluronic Acid is better simply because it absorbs quicker, easier and deeper into the skin layers due to its makeup. Because of this, it provides intense moisture and sustained hydration to your skin. I use on damp skin for maximum benefit. Torriden can be purchased from Yesstyle for £15.

Erborian Skin Therapy Multi perfecting Night Oil Serum

Iv only been using this for a few weeks now so I feel like I have yet to experience the full benefits of this product however so far I can tell you it is super hydrating and leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and smooth. It is quite “oily” (obvs) so a little does go a long way. This little bottle is packed with 17 plant extracts that work while you sleep. These ingredients are known to help with complexion, luminosity, fine lines and wrinkles, suppleness etc. Many swear by this, I can only swear (for now), to the hydration and soft feeling it gives to the skin, I will be back to update you on how its going in a few more weeks so stay tuned for that:).

These are the 4 must have Korean skincare products for your arsenal. I have tried many others and they just did not work for me. They broke me out and created more issues for my skin. These 4, I use daily (with exception of the Erborian), and they work with my sensitive skin and have helped to heal my skin barrier and help give my skin a healthy glow.
